National Two Different Colored Shoes Day

Who doesn’t love a reason to be unique or weird for a day? Well this special holiday might just be what you’re looking for!National Two Different Colored Shoes Day is celebrated on the 3rd May every year by simply wearing two different colored shoes. So if this is something you or a friend would like to take part in, make sure you read the facts about this crazy holiday!
I’m not sure about you, but that sounds like something I’m into! Whilst this day isn’t actually an official national holiday, it has been made popular over the years by many people including its founder.
The day was founded by a lady named Dr. Arlene Kaiser. She came up with a small way to help people break free from normality. Arlene Kaiser founded a day where we could challenge people to be a little different and in that way celebrate the uniqueness that comes with being human. So if you plan on stepping out of your box, then the third of May is a good day to do it!
There isn’t a great deal of information on this special day; however Two Different Colored Shoes Day began in 2009 by Kaiser, who has been doing crazy things like wearing shoes with mismatching colors since the 80’s! So it is pretty obvious that Two Different Colored Shoes Day is just part of Arlene Kaiser’s colorful personality.
Other than wearing mismatching footwear, there are several other things you can do to celebrate this day. You can celebrate by spreading the word and telling your friends, family, or other loved ones about how much you love their unique traits and qualities. You can tell them what you love about them & how they should always be themselves and not to let the world make that such a difficult thing to do.
As far as clothing, you could wear mismatching gloves along with a t-shirt advertising that band you were so ashamed to let people know that you liked before. Also if you’re not into the whole mismatching concept, you can use today as an ideal excuse to dress like the person you feel you are inside. This day is a great day to ignore what society thinks you should look and be like and just let your inner you shine.
